We want to use what you prefer. Now days there are many different choices in
cleaning supplies and we realize there are many different allergies and sensitivities.
Also pet friendly and eco friendly choices.
We would not want to choose supplies you wouldn't choose yourself. It's your
home! You choose what we clean it with!
Please keep in mind, A 1st Choice Cleaning is not responsible for any damage done because of the wrong product being used on a surface.
If you have ‘special needs’ floors, counter tops, granite, antiques etc… Please make sure the housekeeper knows.
We are a professional housekeeping company; however we have no way to know every specific type of surface in each individual home. If you are not sure what type of product to use, please contact the manufacturer. Thank you for your understanding. If you have any questions, please contact us.

Recommended Supply List:
(You do not need to use these products specifically; these are only our recommendations and should be used as a guide)
- Toilets: Ajax, Comet and Soft Scrub, or Clorox Clean-up, Toilet Bowl Brush
- Tubs and Showers: Easy Off Bam, Tilex or Mr. Clean Bath
- Counters and Sinks: Mr. Clean, Spic and Span or Pine Sol, KaBoom, Magic Eraser
- Mirrors: Windex paper towels, we recommend the cheapest paper towels you can find. Keep in mind, the pricier the paper towel, the more ‘fancy’. (I.e. lotions, aloes and conditioners that may cause streaking)
- Dusting: Pledge, End Dust and we find a micro fiber cloth works best for dusting
- Swiffer Duster with extended arm for hard to reach or higher areas such as a ceiling fan
- Floors: Vacuum with spare bags and belts, broom, mop and bucket
- Floor Cleaner: Bona for wood floors, or vinegar and water
- Step Stool (We’re not all blessed with height!)
- Rags, lots and lots of rags! We would rather have too many than not enough, nobody wants the rag used on their toilet to be used on their counter tops! (Please avoid old socks or underwear)
